How to win at land sales

David now has laser visionRegulatory applications contain plans, justifications and pitfalls of your offsets new oil and gas projects. Would getting an email every time an application is submitted within 20 miles of your operation aid your exploration efforts?

AppIntel can show opportunities, mapping, well density and recovery factors that have already been justified in detail with the regulator. Sometimes offsets even add 3-D seismic interpretations and type logs to their applications.

Example:

David is a geoscientist from ABC Oil and Gas Ltd. He used AppIntel to win at a land sale.

He saw a land posting near his operation. Out of curiousity, he used AppIntel to scout the activity in the area using the Proximity search feature. He also set an area alert.

A few days later, AppIntel notified him by email of a new application in the land sale area. From the application, he saw the operator's plans for the land and even some mapping.

Armed with this intelligence, he made a winning bid at the land sale.

Will it make a difference?

Assuming:

The 14,000 acre play can bring 50 MMBO of reserves.

And assuming a value of $30/bbl for undeveloped reserves in the ground.
(Yes, we see one of these right now.)

What value would it add to your exploration efforts if you could find others' exploration plans and success from their AER applications?

If you could add just one play with 14,000 acres at a finding cost of $5/bbl you could add a value of $1.2 B to your company's NAV.

50,000 MBO x $(30-5)/boepd = $1.2 B
