Record pipeline licences in 2015

record pipeline licencesSlow down in the industry? More pipeline applications have been submitted in 2015 than in any other year to date. October 2015 was almost a record month set for pipeline licence applications. Industry applied for 1637 pipeline licences up from 1462 the month before. In fact, only three months have ever seen more pipeline licence applications (largest first): March 2006, October 2014, and February 2006. We found this information from AppIntel.

Big licencers include CNR and Husky. CNR accounted for almost fifteen percent of all the pipeline applications submitted in October. They include applications like this one in Dunvegan as well as others in Grand Banks, Twining, and Westlock. CNR, Husky and others seem to be taking advantage of low priced pipeline construction crews.

When searching through AppIntel, one mechanical engineer said, "You can see everything -- from plot plans to metering details."

Each AER application contains your neighbor's perspective on the processing and transport of oil and gas fields. Applications contain more technical data even than ASME papers.

Would you like to see what other operators in your areas are thinking about offloading terminals, upgrading, water processing and waste management? AppIntel can help.
