AER closing more & more pipeline applications
More and more pipeline applications are being refused by the AER. Since 2015 is the biggest year ever for pipeline applications, the number of closures has risen significantly. We found this using AppIntel.
To illustrate, we can look at Level 2 pipeline applications, type D452. In 2005, applications refused were about 7%. This year, the regulator has closed about 17%. Some months, up to 40% of these applications were closed. D452 applications are for Level 2 small, sour pipelines not close to urban centers.
Picky Regulator adjudicating
Is industry doing a poorer job of applying? Or is the regulator getting more picky? The best way to ensure your application gets approved is to review others' closed applications. Find out what the regulator didn't like. AppIntel can help.
